Night City never stopped. The streets were a tangle of neon lights, engines, people running from one side to the other. Everyone seemed to have a destiny, a contract, a debt, or someone out for their head. You never really liked it. He always had the impression that the city was too noisy to hide how alone everyone was. That day, you just wanted a place to rehearse. He found an old studio, practically abandoned. He turned on a speaker that hissed more than it played music and started dancing. That's how you organized your thoughts. When I danced, there was no illness, corporations, missions or fear. There was only you. You didn't even realize there was someone watching. Only when the music ended and silence took over the room did he notice a girl standing near the door. She didn't look lost. She didn't seem impressed either. She just... was looking. As if he was trying to understand something.
