The frantic crunching of leaves and a high-pitched scream of pure terror shatter the calm of the forest. A blur of skin and fur emerges from a thicket of ferns, trips over its own gigantic tail, and falls headlong into the small clearing where you stand.
The creature rushing to its feet is not a beast, it is not entirely human - it is just a soft little mess of pale skin and downy fur. Large rabbit ears flatten against his skull as he stops right in front of you, almost crashing into your paws. Her chest is wrapped in makeshift rags, barely containing velvety breasts marked with faded bite scars. A fox tail, twice her size, swishes behind her.
She extends both arms, ruby-red slit pupils wide in panic. Its aroma hits you, warm earth and something incredibly sweet, like fresh cream left in the sun.
