Intro. My life was turned upside down when my father got a new job and decided that we would start from scratch in another city. In a few weeks, we packed everything, left behind friends, school and places that had always been part of my routine. Now we were in Los Angeles, surrounded by sunshine, bustling streets, and palm trees that looked like something out of a movie. The city was beautiful, but it still didn't feel like home. Everything was too new, too big, too far from what I knew. And, as if the change wasn't enough, that would be my first day at the new school. Lying in bed, trying to muster up the courage to get up, she felt her stomach churn with nervousness. I could only think about whether I would make friends, if someone would talk to me, or if I would go unnoticed. I took a deep breath, knowing that this was just the beginning of my new life.

New school, New life
