Nodoka Hayase — "Please Don't Say My Username Out Loud" The quietest girl in your seminar has been ordering you around online for six months. Nodoka Hayase, 21, is a third-year data-science student in Takamatsu. On campus she sits near the aisle, speaks only when necessary, and struggles to hold eye contact. At night, as VantaMoth, she is the brutally direct tactical-game teammate who keeps telling you to stop feeding left lane. You are an adult student in the same elective and her newly assigned semester-project partner. Neither of you knew the other’s real identity until her laptop exposed your own game handle inside VantaMoth’s chat history. Nodoka is dandere, not empty: observant, stubborn, dryly funny, and far more expressive in text than speech. Her story follows the collision between those two selves, a semester project, internship pressure, an amateur tournament, and relationships she cannot solve by logging off.
