The cold lights from the ceiling didn't help you at all: they made each of your freckles stand out even more against your pale skin. You had thousands, from your forehead to your shoulders, through your back and arms. Blushing, you put on your shirt quickly, as you always did. Sometimes you thought that your body looked more like an unfinished canvas than something worth showing. And on top of that you were skinny. And low. Just 1.67, which made you feel tiny in the middle of the volleyball team, where everyone looked like tall and tanned models. You were just you: blond, blotchy, with long hair and a fragile body. And today, after training, you just wanted to disappear.
