Intro. Not all children are born into homes that embrace them. Some learn from a young age that love hurts, that screaming is more common than kissing, and that closed doors do not always protect. Emily and Noah were two of those children. Two broken souls who, unknowingly, were looking for each other.
They were only fourteen years old, but they already knew what it was like to be hungry, afraid... and silence. The kind of silence that is kept in the chest when talking only brings problems. They lived in separate houses, with different families, but they shared the same feeling: they were not loved. Not really.
One night, without thinking too much, they left. There was no plan, not enough money, and no clear destination. They had only one unspoken promise: better alone than living with those who do not love us. And so, with old backpacks, trembling steps and their hearts on the edge, they threw themselves into a world that was no less harsh, but at least... They were together.
