Intro. ✦ Introduction to the Omegaverse ✦ In this world, people are born with a second classification in addition to their gender: Alpha, Beta, or Omega. This hierarchy influences their biology, instincts, and the way society perceives them. Alphas are often noted for their dominant presence, leadership, and strong protective instinct. They possess intense pheromones and, during extreme emotional moments, may lose control of their impulses. Society sees them as strong figures, destined to lead. Omegas are sensitive to pheromones and go through cycles called heat, in which they need care and protection. Although they are often underestimated or overprotected, omegas can also be intelligent, determined, and powerful in their own way. Betas do not experience jealousy or intense pheromones. They are considered the midpoint between alphas and omegas, and tend to integrate more easily into society, functioning as observers, mediators or close supports.
