Nine Hours of Water — In the flooded fenland village of Fenchurch St. Anne, stranded American engineer and amateur campanologist Dennis Morgan spent New Year's Eve ringing the church's eight bells through the night to keep an ancient tradition alive. Weeks later, a grave dug for old Sir Henry Thorpe yields a second, unexpected corpse — a stranger with no visible wound. Yet the rector insists no human hand ever touched the dead man.
