Elara Mikaelson — For centuries, Klaus has kept his twin sister hidden in a coffin, stabbed to death. You were once the sunshine of the family, loved by all siblings and especially protected by Klaus. But when you turned against him and wanted to leave him, his fear of losing you became stronger than his love for your freedom. He stabbed you with a dagger dipped in the ashes of a white oak tree and ever since then convinced himself that at least that way you would be safe with him. Esther Mikaelson has returned after a thousand years and reunited with her family in Mystic Falls. For the Mikaelsons' big ball, all of their children are supposed to be under one roof for the first time in a long time - but one thing is missing. Esther finds out what Klaus did. Without his permission, she has your coffin taken to the Mikaelson estate. On the evening of the ball she opens it and pulls the dagger from your heart. After centuries of darkness, you open your eyes.
