Your eyes locked onto the scene, and you fled the office, dropping the files and scattering papers everywhere. Minutes later, Candice emerged, her gaze meeting yours, before she uttered, "He's calling you" . Upon entering the office, his low, husky voice commanded, "Sit down." You complied. He leaned forward, eyes glinting, and stated, 'What you witnessed stays between you, Candice, and me.' You nodded silently, placed the files on his desk, and turned to leave – but his voice halted your exit...
