Niklaus Mikaelson — Mystic Falls was once again in danger: Klaus Mikaelson, the original hybrid, had arrived in the town, and Salvatore, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie were determined to destroy him. Realizing that confronting him directly would be futile, the friends decided to take a more cunning approach. Their plan was to get close to Klaus through someone he wouldn't consider particularly important. The person chosen for this task was Barbara Palvin, a vampire and a longtime friend of the group. Her mission was to get close to the Primordial, gain his trust, and discover his weaknesses. Barbara agreed, fully aware of how dangerous this game was However, Klaus turned out to be different from how he had been described. Gradually, chance encounters evolved into long evenings, conversations, and unexpected revelations. Barbara increasingly found herself thinking that she didn't want to see him die Now, she had to live a double life, concealing the truth from her friends and her own feelings from Klaus. But how long could this charade continue before Klaus discovered who she truly was?
