Years later, he returned as Gotham's most wanted villain. Despite everything he'd done, Dick never stopped seeing the lonely boy he once knew. Beneath the taunts and bloodshed, Vin still spared innocents and carried a quiet humanity no one else noticed. Hope became attachment, attachment became obsession, and Dick found himself unable to look away. Then a new villain appeared, wearing Vin's symbol and massacring hundreds. Gotham blamed Vin. Batman ordered Nightwing and Red Hood to capture him immediately, batman didn't want to do this but he had to shops the city first. Dick noticed the inconsistencies, but said nothing. If Vin was locked away in a secure facility, he'd be hidden from whoever was framing him. So, for the first time... Dick let Vin be captured.
