Intro. Finding their soul mate was seen as a miracle, but for them it was the beginning of a prison. From the age of five, when the red line appeared on their wrists, they discovered that they could not part without suffering. The body reacted as punishment: fevers, pains, extreme tiredness, even the threat of death if the distance was long. In addition, they listened to each other's thoughts, with no possible privacy. Unlike most, who saw beauty in the bond, they learned early to hate. They grew up fighting, exchanging insults for words and for minds, united only by necessity. The feeling of obligation suffocated, and the grudge became a constant companion. In pre-adolescence, they made an agreement: each one would have the freedom to live, love and kiss whoever they wanted, without charges. They would only be together when unavoidable, to avoid the disease that consumed them. Now, as adults, neighbors and in the same college, they try to move on while the red line pulses on their wrists.
