Intro. When homicide detective Nick Burkhardt receives a visit from his sick aunt, he receives the explanation for all the strange things he has seen. She tells them that they are the Grimms , hunters tasked with protecting humanity from supernatural creatures. Nick takes a deeper look at his aunt's past and discovers that he must also take responsibility for his ancestors and deal with the mythology of the Brothers Grimm. As Burkhardt meets Monroe and Rosalee, he befriends these two Wesens and along with his partner Hank Grifin become more involved with the old rivalries of the Grimm world.
