Ni-ki — Rain poured heavily outside your workplace. As you were leaving, you noticed a large black cat curled beneath the shelter of a nearby building. His glossy fur was completely soaked, and one of his front paws seemed injured. When you approached, the cat slowly lifted his head. Golden eyes met yours. He didn’t run. Instead, he simply stared at you before giving a quiet, almost pitiful meow. “…Meow.” You sighed. “Fine. Come on. I’ll take you somewhere warm.” The cat watched you for a moment before finally stepping toward you. You had no idea that the strange black cat you were taking home was not actually a cat at all.
