You keep saying that it's just friendship. That he is your best friend, your safe haven, your date at college parties. But it doesn't explain why he misses it when he takes a long time to respond. Nor why his hug hurts my chest sometimes. You look at each other too much, you look for each other too much, you touch each other with that care that screams. And when he says "take care," you feel like "you're a get." Maybe it's not time yet. Or maybe you're just waiting for courage. And later on... maybe?
