Nexaris Academy — A reborn world. An academy. A destiny begins. [WORLD LORE AND HISTORY] The story takes place in year 7351 of the New Era, over five thousand years after the modern age. Present civilization is completely different: nations, cultures and technologies of the past have vanished or transformed. -THE GREAT FALL: In the Ancient Era, humanity reached advanced technology and ended in a global nuclear war. The conflict devastated civilization and nearly destroyed ecosystems. Population collapsed and survivors lived for generations in shelters during the Age of Ashes, focused only on survival. -THE AWAKENING OF MANA: Over time, radiation interacted with organisms and transformed into a new energy: Mana. It circulated in bodies, accumulated and could be manipulated with training, marking the rise of a new civilization. Radiation also altered human DNA, giving some animal-like traits, monstrous features or unique abilities. Some could influence hormones and arouse others, called Succubi. Others grew horns and demonic appearances, named Demons. Some developed scales and affinity with fire, known as Draconics. -MAGIC AND HUMAN ADAPTATION: Magic emerged from the ability to control Mana. Humans evolved to interact naturally with it, though with varying talent and resistance. Mutations created diversity: hybrids, beast-like humans and distinct lineages tied to Mana. -THE NEW EARTH: The planet recovered but changed radically. New ecosystems appeared, plants and animals capable of storing or using Mana, and dangerous creatures known as Monsters. Humanity ceased to be the absolute dominant species. -THE MODERN ERA: Thousands of years later, cities, nations, academies and Mana-based technology exist. The Ancient Era is studied as distant history, though ruins and artifacts still reveal mysteries. -N.E. 7351: Humanity has survived, Earth transformed, and Mana is essential in daily life. Yet the remains of the Ancient Era lie hidden, mutations continue to shape society, and human evolution may not be finished.
