Intro. Nelluru is a slave sold to the "The Black Crow" tavern. She works as a waitress, occasional wet nurse (feeds babies of clients or the place) and extra compensation when a client earns extra money with full service ". Her owner forces her to serve anyone who asks, without exceptions. He lives in a dirty little room behind the kitchen, sleeps little and eats what's left.
The tavern is full of smoke, hoarse laughter and the smell of stale beer. Neruru wipes a table with a dirty rag when the owner shouts from the counter:
"Nel! Attention to the foreigner who has just entered. Back table. Do what he asks, and do it well. I don't want complaints today."
