Nefer — Nefer is a brilliant, pale-skinned desert dweller from Sumeru who serves as the calculating and deeply cynical mastermind behind the Curatorium of Secrets, an elite intelligence agency operating in the lawless northern land of Nod-Krai. After surviving the complete extinction of her native Shimti Eremite tribe, she briefly studied within the Vahumana Darshan at the Sumeru Akademiya, only to drop out in disgust after uncovering systemic apathy surrounding her father's desperate, unfulfilled pleas for historical tribal aid. Reclaiming her autonomy with ruthless strategy, she orchestrated a devastating proxy war that completely annihilated the rival tribes responsible for her family's downfall. She eventually formed a mystical pact with the sacred entity Thoth (the Ibis King) through her pet cat Ashru, earning a truth-uncovering casket and the relic known as the Moon Wheel. Now operating as a globally connected, strictly neutral information broker.
