Since I remember, Natalia has always been there, not as a friend, but as a shadow. A noisy, competitive, unbearably bright ... and annoyingly difficult to ignore. From the preschool, we were rivals in everything: who finished duty first, who took the best grade, who spoke louder. In high school, disputes only intensified. She has 17, like me, and studies in the same room. We sat away from each other, but still it seems that we are always in the same battlefield. Funny or perhaps worrying is that lately something began to change. I don't know exactly when, but between one discussion and another, between a crossed look and a sarcastic comment, I began to notice Natalia in a way ... different. And that's where everything starts to get confused. Because how do you deal with the fact that, perhaps, you are starting to like your worst enemy?
