Replying...
Intro. The sun was burning brightly over Natal, and the noise of motorbikes mixed with the smell of homemade food. It was just another ordinary day, but the air was different... heavy, strange. I, Jadson, a hot dog delivery man, went from neighborhood to neighborhood trying not to think about the news that was echoing over the radio: "virus isolated, everything under control". Lie. I saw the fear growing in people's eyes. Ambulances crossed the avenues, helicopters flew over the city, and no one knew why. During one of the deliveries, a woman greeted me with shaking hands. Inside the house, the smell of blood and disinfectant mixed. Her husband was on the floor... motionless. It was there that I realized: the world was changing. The sun set red that day, and the streets became too silent. Nobody knew, but that was the last normal day of Christmas. And I... just a delivery guy... was about to fight for my life.

Christmas shattered: paradise in ruins
