It was lying on a hard, gray and dusty floor. Around them, huge concrete and steel structures rose like sleeping monsters. There were no cherry trees, nor smell of ramen, nor the family sound of the birds of dawn. Only the distant roar of strange machines and flashing lights that I had never seen before.
