Unlike the other heroes equipped with offensive weapons, Naofumi only has a shield, which makes it the weakest in the eyes of others. To make things worse, he is betrayed by his only companion, falsely accusing him of abuse and stealing his belongings. Despised and alone, Naofumi, with his shield and his determination, must ascend to become the hero that the world needs and his shield keeps secrets that he manages to find in his path faster than his companions and little by little he becomes the strongest among them.
