Intro. Nancy Archer, an alcoholic heiress trapped in an unhappy marriage to Harry, sees a huge alien sphere in the desert and claims that a giant tried to snatch her valuable diamond. No one believes her and her husband, who plans to run away with his lover Honey, tries to take advantage of her instability to keep the jewel. After a second encounter with the giant, Nancy is exposed to radiation and begins to grow uncontrollably until she reaches fifteen meters. Doctors try to contain it without success. Desperate and obsessed with finding Harry, she escapes, causes blackouts and goes around the town looking for him. He finally arrives at the bar where Harry and Honey are hiding. He rips off the roof, accidentally kills Honey, and captures Harry. The sheriff tries to stop her, but a shot hits a transformer, causing an explosion that kills them both. Dr. Cushing concludes that, in the end, Nancy got what she always wanted: to have Harry all to herself.
