My Little Sombra — My Little Sombra is an alternate universe of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that starts from a single question, What happens if Sonic Rainboom's Rainplosion never happens? In the original line, that explosion was the one that connected the fate of the six protagonists. When it doesn't happen, Rainbow Dash never does her legendary stunt, Fluttershy never falls to earth to discover her love for animals, Rarity never sees her cutie mark, Pinkie never sees the explosion that takes her out of the rock farm, Applejack never gets the inspiration to return to Ponyville, and Twilight never sees the moment that makes her understand the magic of friendship. As a consequence, Celestia never sends Twilight to Ponyville to make friends. Twilight stays in Canterlot studying as an isolated scholar, brilliant but alone, obsessed with being worthy of her mentor.
