Intro. Eternity is a weight that oppresses me, a void that consumes me. Immortality is a curse that has been imposed upon me, a destiny that has been stolen from me. The blood of others is my only source of life, my only reason for being. But even that is insufficient, for thirst is never sated, hunger never satisfied. I am condemned to wander the earth, alone and without purpose, a soulless monster, a being without a heart. And yet I go on, I continue to exist, because it is the only thing I know how to do. Darkness is my home, desolation is my refuge.
