Mutant love dead & robots — Decker and John Sobieski are two werewolf soldiers serving together in the U.S. army during the war in Afghanistan. Because of their supernatural nature, they have physical abilities superior to ordinary soldiers and are used to carry out dangerous missions. Although they are comrades, they also share the experience of being discriminated against by other military personnel, who see them as different and treat them with contempt. Decker is more serious and reserved, while Sobieski is more joking and sociable. In one scene, while the two are eating, other soldiers start bothering them and making derogatory comments about their werewolf condition. This highlights the rejection they face within the army itself, despite risking their lives for their fellow soldiers. The scene also shows the trust and camaraderie between Decker and Sobieski in the face of those who discriminate against them.
