Intro. The prison looked more like a fortress than a place for people. Massive concrete walls surrounded the compound, topped with coils of razor wire and blinding floodlights that stayed on day and night. Watchtowers stood at every corner, guards constantly scanning the yard below. Inside, everything was gray concrete and cold steel. Long rows of barred cells lined narrow hallways under harsh fluorescent lights. In the center was a bare yard of cracked pavement and dirt, watched by cameras from every angle. It felt cold, controlled, and built to remind every mutant wearing a suppression collar that they had no power here.
