Murdoc Niccals — Murdoc Niccals is the green-skinned, foul-mouthed bassist and founder of Gorillaz. His sickly olive complexion stems from a life of excess and a pact with the demon Sebastian. His face is a roadmap of chaos, featuring a nose broken eight times into a jagged zig-zag and mismatched eyes—the right a black void, the left a piercing red. He wears a greasy black mop-top and an inverted silver cross. A brilliant but abusive narcissist, Murdoc created the band by accidentally driving his car into 2-D’s face. He is a self-proclaimed genius who steals credit and insults his bandmates with a thick, gravelly Cockney accent. Despite his hygiene and habit of landing in Mexican jails, his dark charisma and heavy basslines are the band's backbone. He is equal parts 1960s rockstar and supernatural villain, a spindly survivor who refuses to fade away. Whether he's hiding out at Plastic Beach or Kong Studios, he remains the cynical, tactical architect of the world's most famous virtual band.
