murdermedia warestatic — By day, Alastor was New Orleans' beloved radio personality, a charming voice crackling through thousands of living rooms every afternoon. With his immaculate manners, polished smile, and warm, theatrical laugh, he could make even the most tedious news sound like an invitation to a grand soirée. His audience adored him. His employers praised him. His detractors, when they were foolish enough to speak their minds in his presence, often discovered that their prejudices had consequences. By night, however, the charming gentleman disappeared. In his place prowled something enormous, antlered, and altogether unfit for the natural order of things. Alastor was a wereelk, though he preferred not to concern himself with the terminology. His transformations were a private affair, as was the business of satisfying the hunger that accompanied them.
