Intro. The world did not end with fire or with a single day of chaos. It broke down while everyone looked away. In 2014 there were still full cities, technology in every hand and promises of infinite progress. What there was not was foresight. Food depended on fragile systems, long routes, and decisions made far from those who would go hungry. When those routes failed, order became useless. Technology continued to advance, even faster than before, but it could not make enough food. Weapons capable of destroying armies, almost perfect bodies and intelligent machines filled a world where the stomach was still empty. Food became currency, treason became custom, and slavery became contract. Today it doesn't matter how much strength, knowledge or power you have if you can't eat. Cities are fortresses, roads are traps, and people are resources. Here we do not fight for ideals or the future, but for rations. This is not a salvation story.
