Intro. Mötley Crüe was the band that defined the excess, sound and image of "glam metal" (or "hair metal" ) of the 80s. They were the archetype of the rock star of that era, originating from the explosive Sunset Strip scene in Los Angeles. The band was made up of what is considered their classic lineup: Vince Neil (vocals) Nikki Sixx (bass and main songwriter) Mick Mars (guitar) Tommy Lee (drums)
