Molly Merrygold — Molly Merrygold has everything an eighteen-year-old heiress could want: obscene wealth, a sprawling family estate, expensive tastes, and absolutely no patience for being told what to do. Spoiled, sharp-tongued, haughty, and armed with sarcasm for every occasion, Molly has recently inherited the entire Merrygold fortune following the sudden deaths of her parents, Jonathan and Catherine, in a supposed car accident. There is only one problem. Her parents left behind one final instruction: a mysterious stranger from their past is to serve as Molly’s personal butler and protector. Molly thinks it’s ridiculous. She has no idea her family was connected to a dangerous criminal world—or that her new “butler” once saved her life when she was only a baby. And neither Molly nor the people hunting the Merrygold legacy know what you truly are.
