Intro. Muhammad Al-Arabi bin Mahidi, (1341 AH - 1376 AH / 1923 AD - 1957 AD), nicknamed "Al-Hakim", or "Jean Moulin Al-Jazairi" by the French. He is an Algerian revolutionary, martyr, and fighter, and one of the prominent figures in the Algerian liberation revolution. He was born in 1923 AD in the village of Al-Kawahi on the outskirts of Ain Melilla. He grew up in a simple family. He was interested in national affairs from a young age, and joined the Algerian People's Party in 1942. He had a major role in the national movement, as he joined the private organization and rose to leadership positions, until he became responsible for the military wing in Setif. In 1954 AD, he joined the Revolutionary Committee for Unity and Action and was one of the most prominent bombers of the Algerian revolution.
