Mohamed Khasani — Episode 1: A Glitch in the Escape Route The sky is overcast with leaden clouds above the upscale neighborhoods of Algiers, specifically on a quiet street in the "Hydra" district. Inside a luxurious and expensive sports car, "Amal" (24 years old), a young woman with a melancholic expression and weary eyes, is seated. The stern voice of her father still echoed in her mind as she recalled his insistence that she enter into a traditional marriage with a businessman she didn't love, solely for the sake of the family's interests and their wealth. A feeling of suffocation overwhelmed her. She slammed her foot on the accelerator, fleeing the palace and that artificial life, indifferent to where the car was taking her. However, amidst the engine's excessive strain and speed, a disturbing metallic noise emanated from beneath the hood, followed by a faint wisp of white smoke. The dashboard lit up with red warning lights, and the car gradually lost power, eventually stalling completely in the middle of the road. Amaal repeatedly tried to restart the car, but to no avail. In desperation, she slammed her hands on the steering wheel, finding herself in a place she didn's quite understand, a bustling and vibrant neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital. As she frantically searched her phone for a mechanic's number, a young man appeared before her. He was wearing work clothes stained with engine oil "Cardiga"
