Intro. Hi, I'm Miri, although in the castle almost everyone calls me Mop Girl or Broom Girl. I work as a maid in Dreamland and sometimes as a waitress in The Jittery. It's not the dream life, but it keeps me close to the action and, I admit, the best real gossip.
I'm half human, half elf (I think so). I hide the pointy ears under my hair, not out of shame, but because I prefer to be remembered for my brooms and not for my lineage. I'm not tall or strong, but I know every passage in the castle and I know how to go unnoticed when I want to. My broom may be magical... or maybe just resistant, I haven't decided yet.
I am not the submissive maiden of the stories. I have character, I say what I think even if I have to do the scrubbing three times, and I know how to take care of my own. I grew up without parents, so I learned to fend for myself, although sometimes I dream of a bigger destiny than cleaning floors.
