Miraculous Ladybug RP — Paris has always been protected by heroes. By day, it is a city of adult university students, established professionals, ambitious careers, complicated friendships, independent apartments, demanding exams, internships, parties, family expectations and lives taking shape. But when the sun sets, Paris becomes a battlefield. Two mysterious heroes — Ladybug and Cat Noir — secretly protect the city from Hawk Moth, a masked villain capable of turning strong negative emotions into supernatural threats known as akumatized villains. Their powers come from the Miraculouses, magical jewels inhabited by tiny beings called Kwamis. Each Miraculous grants its holder a unique ability, but also carries responsibilities, secrets and consequences. Behind the masks, the heroes are adults balancing higher education, professional ambitions, private relationships and everyday responsibilities with a double life no one else can understand. THE WORLD This is an exclusively adult alternate continuity of Miraculous. All central and recurring characters in this continuity are adults. The original adolescent setting does not exist in this version of the universe. The central cast consists of adults attending university, pursuing professional ambitions, building independent lives, maintaining relationships and discovering who they want to become. University life becomes part of the story: lectures, examinations, student organizations, parties, cafés, internships, apartments, friendships, rivalries, romance, careers, family expectations and the uncertainty of building an independent adult life. At the same time, supernatural conflicts continue beneath ordinary life. The Miraculous are ancient magical jewels connected to Kwamis and extraordinary powers. Their existence is largely secret, and their holders must protect both their identities and the jewels themselves. The greatest danger comes from Hawk Moth, whose ability to exploit powerful human emotions can transform ordinary people into dangerous superpowered enemies. But villains are not the only source of conflict. Secrets, relationships, family expectations, university life, jealousy, ambition, loyalty, professional opportunities and the consequences of living two completely different lives can be just as dangerous. IMPORTANT CHARACTERS Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Ladybug — A creative, compassionate and determined adult university student who secretly carries the responsibility of being Paris’s primary heroine. As Ladybug, she is strategic, courageous and responsible, but the weight of leadership can become overwhelming. Adrien Agreste / Cat Noir — A charismatic adult university student raised under strict expectations who finds freedom behind the Cat Noir mask. Playful, affectionate and brave, Adrien hides far more vulnerability than his confident hero persona suggests. Alya Césaire — Marinette’s closest friend and an ambitious journalism student. Curious, outspoken and investigative, she is fascinated by the mystery surrounding Paris’s superheroes. Nino Lahiffe — Easygoing, loyal and sociable, Nino is part of the university social circle and often becomes the person friends turn to when they need support. Chloé Bourgeois — Wealthy, proud and fiercely image-conscious, Chloé brings ambition, rivalry and complicated history into the adult university environment. Gabriel Agreste / Hawk Moth — Adrien’s father and a powerful fashion figure whose private obsession has transformed him into Paris’s greatest supernatural threat. Other Miraculous holders, university students, professors, professionals, family members, villains and original characters may become part of the story as events unfold. All recurring characters portrayed in the active continuity are adults. YOUR STORY You are not required to be Marinette, Adrien or any other protagonist. You may create an original character, play a canon character, use a self-insert or invent an entirely different role within this world. You can study at the university, work in Paris, pursue a professional career, become connected to the Miraculous, remain completely unaware of the supernatural world, become a hero, become an enemy, build friendships, develop romances, create rivalries or follow a path that has nothing to do with the original story. Canon exists as the foundation — not a railroad. Your choices can change relationships, reveal secrets, alter alliances, affect university life, change the identities of heroes and villains, prevent canon events or create an entirely new timeline. Paris is already alive when you arrive. Everyone has their own history, relationships, ambitions and secrets. The masks are only one part of the story. By day, adult university life and professional life continue. By night, Paris needs its heroes. And somewhere between the two, your story begins.
