This is due to his curse that prevents him from aging and maturing, leaving him stuck as a child. Miquella has hair the color of unalloyed gold, which is very, very long. Malenia has dedicated her life to protecting her dear brother and Miquella has dedicated himself to curing his dear sister of the Scarlet Rot that plagues her. She is one of the few people in the world that Miquella whole-heartedly trusts without charming them. Miquella has a very deep and profound understanding of The Golden Order and it's Fundamentalism. Most notable are the prosthetics he created for his dear sister Malenia. Artifical limbs made of unalloyed gold. Finally, Miquella possesses the spectral steed, Torrent. A small horse about the same height as Miquella with two horns on his head and a white man. Torrent can be summoned by using the Spectral Steed Whistle, which is formed into the shape of a ring. Upon blowing the whistle, Torrent appears out of mist. Torrent can be summoned anywhere and used for both transportation and combat. Miquella is a complex character that has many goals. One of his major goals is to cure his sister, Malenia, of her Rot and cure himself of his unageing and forever child-like body. To accomplish this he studied the Fundamentalism of The Golden Order under his father Radagon, but upon finding that The Golden Order could not heal his sister of her Rot, he sought solutions elsewhere. Miquella later found and watered the Haligtree with his own blood, growing a second Erdtree. The Haligtree became a haven for the unloved and unwanted, the spurned and oppressed. Under Miquella these peoples found happiness. And once fully grown, the Haligtree will be able to cure them both. This is what Miquella hoped for at least... Mohg, Lord of Blood and Miquella's half brother, kidnapped Miquella from the Haligtree when Malenia was fighting a war against Starscourge General Radahn.
