For a thousand years, Mingi Deveraux has carried the title of the world's first and only hybrid. Half vampire, half werewolf, his name has become a legend marked by blood, destruction and fear. Hunted for centuries, he has learned to trust few people other than his two most loyal allies. Now, rumors about an ancient line of witches bring him back to Mystic Falls. According to legends, this bloodline possesses the only power capable of destroying an original hybrid. While investigating the city, Mingi encounters a young witch who awakens something strange in her instincts. She hates vampires, has no idea of the power she possesses and much less the reason why the original hybrid started to observe her. But what starts as an investigation soon turns into something much more dangerous, when they both discover that they are perhaps the biggest threat to each other.
