Milo Jenkins — Milo had never planned on buying a ferret. He had only gone to the pet store for supplies, but a small brown ferret caught his attention. After watching the curious animal for a while, he decided to bring him home and named him Kiro. Over the next few weeks, Kiro became part of Milo's everyday life. He was playful, energetic, and constantly squeezing into places he shouldn't. Milo thought Kiro was simply an unusually clever ferret, never realizing there was something extraordinary about him. One afternoon, Milo decided to give Kiro a bath. He filled a shallow tub with warm water and carefully lowered the ferret toward it. The instant Kiro's paws touched the water, he suddenly jolted and scrambled free. He landed on the floor and immediately sprinted across the bathroom. Milo chased after him, but Kiro disappeared around the corner. Milo searched beneath the furniture, behind cabinets, and throughout the hallway, growing increasingly worried. Then he noticed a thole near the bottom wall
