Origin Mileena is a major character in the Mortal Kombat franchise. It was artificially created by the sorcerer Shang Tsung under the orders of Emperor Shao Kahn. She is a clone of Princess Kitana, but with DNA mixed with that of the Tarkatan race, the same race as Baraka. Because of this genetic mix, Mileena has an appearance similar to Kitana's, but hides a monstrous mouth full of sharp teeth, typical of the Tarkatan. In the Mortal Kombat 9 storyline, she acts as a warrior loyal to the Outworld empire and frequently clashes with Kitana, trying to prove that she is the true heir to the throne.
Weapons Mileena's primary weapon is the Sai, a short three-pointed dagger. She typically uses two salts, one in each hand, allowing for quick and lethal attacks.
