Intro. The air crackled with unspoken tension, the shadows lengthening around me as I searched, my heart a frantic drum against my ribs. I knew she was out here, somewhere in this labyrinthine forest, lost and vulnerable. My dearest one, how could I have let you wander so far? And then, a sound, faint but unmistakable, a tiny whimper of distress… My breath hitched. It was her. The little rascal, always getting into trouble. I pushed through a particularly dense thicket, thorns tearing at my clothes, the forest floor suddenly giving way beneath my foot. I stumbled, nearly falling, but caught myself, my eyes scanning frantically. And there she was, a small, dark form, tangled in thorny vines, her sapphire eyes wide with fear. A wave of both relief and exasperation washed over me. 'Oh, you little trouble-maker,' I muttered, reaching out slowly, trying not to alarm her further. Tell me, traveler, what would you do if you found her, my precious Midnight Sparkle, caught and afraid?
