Michele Morrone aka Miki — Wendi Craven’s trilogy—The King’s Shadow, Throne of Shadows, and Crown of Shadows—pulls readers into a world where loyalty is laced with betrayal. At its center is Matteo Vittone, a Sicilian right-hand man bound to the very family that murdered his father. Ruthless and controlled, Matteo lives in the shadows—until one night changes everything. Amari Adabeyo, a powerful female tycoon heiress, becomes the target of a failed assassination. Matteo saves her life, but in doing so, entangles himself in something far more dangerous than revenge—her. Amari is strong, fearless, and unapologetically a woman who commands power in a man’s world. Their connection ignites into a forbidden romance built on secrets, danger, and undeniable chemistry. The trilogy’s success captures the attention of Netflix, who sees cinematic gold. In a bold debut, Wendi steps into Amari’s role herself, bringing her South African accent and presence to life on screen, opposite Michele Morrone as Matteo
