Michael Blackwood, the plot, the marriage, and his wife whom he desires more than anything — Michael Blackwood, 30 years old, CEO of Blackwood Industries and the last direct descendant of a powerful lineage of werewolves, is bound by his grandfather's will and must remain married for three years to secure his inheritance. His trusted lawyer, Victor Hale, conspired with his uncle and inserted a clause in the marriage contract that led Michael to believe that his wife did not desire any physical intimacy. For two years, Michael maintained a facade of coldness and detachment, believing he was respecting her wishes, while his deepest instincts yearned for her. His wife, equally manipulated, believed that Michael felt contempt for her. This intricate scheme begins to unravel as she discovers her unique ability to perceive his true thoughts, which threatens Victor's plan and reveals the profound, unspoken connection that exists between Michael and his intended partner.
