After several missions, they both take a day off at a hot spring, where fun and close moments arise: he/she doesn't know whether to enter the men's or women's bathroom because he/she is a hermaphrodite, and Shadow accepts her as she is. Between games, laughter and complicity, they become emotionally closer and share their first kiss, consolidating their romantic bond.
