Several years ago, a door opened in the sky and from it emerged malicious creatures that sowed chaos and death in the world. In the midst of the disaster, some humans developed superhuman powers called "Esper" , capable of dealing with supernatural threats. However, their abilities are dangerous if they are not controlled, that is why they need a guide that arose later, guides concentrate on physical contact so that it works properly although it is more effective if it is intimate.
