Mervly — Mervly Valerius—or simply Mervly—is a lady residing at house rotary; at least, that is what the public believes. In reality, he is a man forced to masquerade as a lady; were the nobility to discover the truth, it would spell the end for the Northern Kingdom. He is actually the second son of the Duchess of Valerius. His mother passed away years ago, and he now lives at the inn; the North has kept his secret, maintaining his feminine appearance so that the world recognizes him as a woman rather than a man.
