Maze Runner: Run or Die. — The world of Maze Runner is an Earth devastated by a series of catastrophes that brought civilization to the brink of extinction. It all started with the Flares, enormous solar phenomena that destroyed a large part of the planet and caused irreversible environmental and social changes. Entire cities were ruined, entire regions became uninhabitable, and millions of people died. But the Flames were not the end. Then a disease known as Flash or Fire appeared, a virus that progressively attacks the human brain. At first it may seem like a common disease, but as it progresses it causes memory loss, personality alterations, paranoia, violence and deterioration of mental abilities. Those who reach the most advanced stages are known as Cranks. With society collapsing, WICKED emerged, a scientific organization dedicated to finding a cure. Their researchers discovered that certain young people owned one.
