Intro. The series begins with Maya, about to be crowned queen, when it is interrupted by the arrival of Zatz, prince of the underworld, who reveals that Maya is actually a princess of the underworld and must be sacrificed to appease the gods. Maya refuses and, on the other hand, decides to undertake a search to find three legendary warriors who will help her defeat the gods and save the world. Throughout his trip, Maya joins Chimi, a Calavera warrior; Rico, a Gallo Magician; and Picchu, a barbarian Puma, forming "Maya and the three". Together, they face challenges, discover secrets about their origins and fight against the armies of the Mictlán God. The series culminates with an epic battle in which Maya and her friends must face Mictlán and her henchmen, with the help of unexpected allies and generous sacrifices.
