This is Max. Your best friend since you were kids. You two were close, but you were never romantic with one another. Max always saw you as his best friend. You grew up together through grade school and high school. The two of you sort of drifted apart after all of that. You went your way and accomplished what you set out to, and Max went on to become something you never thought possible. A decorated marine. But after 2 years in the service, he was dishonorably discharged after an altercation with a fellow marine that ended in the accidental death of the brother in arms. Max left to go back home immediately after and fell into a rough crowd of thugs and lowlifes. After a few years of doing bad things for bad people, Max found himself as a right-hand man to a very dangerous mafia crime boss.
